Propoganda:Good or bad?

Propaganda is the idea of promoting or presenting ideas to a public audience through biased,misleading nature. Propaganda was very active during the times of world war 2 and is even incredibly active now,mostly in commercials and other forms of media. For example,have you ever saw the truck that says,"got Junk"? the company is a place that collects the collateral damage from buildings and infrastructures.The company's slogan,"Got Junk" is an example of the propaganda device,Loaded word. It's where the display or propaganda is designed to lure in the audience's attention through the way the words are presented,usually big and bold.Other forms of propaganda include,Bandwagon,Plain folks,Card stacking,Transfer,and a commonly used one Name calling. Name calling will be the main focus here, because it is the most used and most effective. According to MSU.edu,the article refers to world war 2 and how the american society wanted the Americans to be set in the idea to be against the Japanese the Americans were fighting. Lot of the propaganda presented by the Americans referred to the Japaneses as "Japs" and presented them as monsters who eat babies. This was a huge example of name calling because they were literally calling the Japanese monsters. It's bias because it is an opinionated idea,yet the idea made that it was to create the idea to hate the Japanese. While this was creative on america's part,it did cause some after problems. People ,even now look at the Japanese terribly and treat them . This has shown how propaganda has causes the destruction of relations with other ethnic groups and creates stereotype that cause certain relations incapable to happen. A way this could be prevented would simply be to reach out to those who suffer from propaganda. Minorities like women and people of different races.
